What Annie is working on in the shop: Be part of the action!
June 29 2009
The shop has been somewhat temporarily closed since July 2008. We welcomed in the family our little Jesse, our sweet baby boy who was born on March 4th 2009. Activity in the shop is slowly picking up, one major contract for a sign (will keep you updated for that) but we are not filling the schedule yet. Classes will restart upon reservation in July:
The store have been updated with Paypal and new products will be added shortly.

What a month of June... I’m just starting to catch my breath as the last airbrush job left the shop yesterday. Weeeee!!!!
Tuesday I’m leaving for ABU!!! AirbrushUniversity in South Easton for a 3 day class followed by the annual Bear air Party! This is going to be a great time. I will take Mike Learn’s class. I will take many pictures so in a couple weeks I should be able to add picures of what was going on there.
Here is what I have done in the last month:
Airbrush an Hawaiian Betty Boop on a PT cruiser tailgate. This was a fun one because the theme fits the car perfectly. I had to reproduce the Betty from a reference the client gave me and I created a second one for a dash cover. This will be cleared by the owner who is a hot rod and old car restorer. He is one hell of a good painter!
-Pink Floyd Harley Trailer Last thursday I gave back to the client his trailer. It was originaly in white gel coat but his Harley is black...didn’t fit too well! So I painted it in black and he requested the cover of the Pink Floyd album Dark side of the moon. He wanted the cover and the song titles. The rest was up to me. So I came up with a big moon and some sort of an eclipse. I added subtle clouds here and there. Client was thrilled like a kid in a candy store! Yay!!!!!

Full face part 2: This is the helmet following the first one I did with fire and skulls to match a harley. This one has dragons instead of skulls.

I’m seeing double! This bicycle was painted with a criss cross pattern inspired by the architecht Gaudi (from the 1800s). A Bugs Bunny was added to the front for a little touch of humor!

-Airbrush of an eagle and wolf on a Roadstar. The tank is done, so I need to finish the front and read fender as well as 2 plastic covers on each side of the motor. To see the steps I took for the tank, click on the link (Roadstar below the pic) to go to the gallery. The airbrush work needed to be mostly white and detailed with a darker color resembling the color of the tank.

- Harley sportster: Strip down to metal, do a little body work, repaint with a bright metallic then coated with orange candy, airbrush on both fenders and tank. As of now, the tins have been striped, primed, block sanded, sealed, painted with a bright silver toped with a beautiful orange candy and clear coat. DONE! The parts were giving back to the owner and what a happy camper was he! It’s clients like him that make you appreciate putting so much effort in your work.

- 2 full face helmets: repaint them black and one is airbrushed with mean skulls and true fire tying everything together. The second one is airbrushed with a cool dragon in the back, smaller ones on each side and tied together with true fire too so both helmets match together, but still matches both owners personality. The skulls are inspired from Rod Funch, one of my favorite artist. The first one is done. Hopefully the second one will be finished this week.

- In between all of that, work hard to finish a T-Shirt order for my good friend Shane. Thanks for being so patient buddy! Get well soon.
Check back soon for pictures!!!
